Jennifer Tilly was born at Los Angeles, California on September 16, 1958. The conditions were deplorable. Her father worked as a salesman, and her mother was a teacher. Jennifer is the youngest of a family of four children she was frequently at her mother's performance in the theater and was awestruck. After Jennifer reached the age of five she divorced her parents. Jennifer lived the majority of her life in British Columbia when her mother was able to move there with four kids. Jennifer did not have an excellent education, despite being an extremely artistic child. The time she spent in Canadian schools led to her being often the target of bullying. When her enthusiasm for theatre diminished as she entered high school, she began playing in theatre together with her mom. She encouraged her kids to become passionate about the arts. After that, she immediately started to act.
